Juniper Networks continues to enhance its Junos Space Security Director centralized management solution with unique capabilities, automation, policy enhancements, and several other new features. The latest release, Security Director 16.1, offers several new features and enhancements and will help enterprises to identify and remediate threats faster than ever while ensuring security policies are efficiently managed and enforced across large, geographically distributed deployments.
The recent Security Director enhancements solidify Juniper’s already robust network security portfolio. Armed with the Juniper solutions, administrators gain complete visibility into and control over the network as well as actionable intelligence, data correlation, and analytics capabilities. Combined with seamless integration between Security Director, Sky Advanced Threat Prevention, and SRX Series next-generation firewalls, the Juniper securityportfolio helps users rapidly identify advanced threats and take immediate action to block high-risk applications and users, reducing threats when they surface by limiting their exposure time in the network.
Juniper’s Software-Defined Secure Network (SDSN) platform leverages the entire network, not just perimeter firewalls, as a threat detection and security enforcement domain. Introduced in Security Director 16.1, a new Policy Enforcer component allows administrators to orchestrate policies created by the Sky ATP cloud-based malware detection solution and distributes them to EX Series and QFX Series switches, as well as to Juniper virtual and physical SRX Series firewalls.
Sky ATP services for SRX Series firewalls can now be enabled, monitored, and configured centrally, right from Security Director. Using Policy Enforcer and the intelligence feeds it offers through Sky ATP, you can create and deploy threat prevention policies that provide monitoring and actionable intelligence for known malware, command and control servers, infected hosts, Geo IP-based server data, and other types of threats.
